Funders and Community PartnersCommunity support for Amethyst. Many local and national organizations believe in Amethyst’s mission and generously provide much needed funding and important services that help make our programs a reality for women and children in need. We are deeply grateful for all of our funders and partners and the difference they help make in the lives of the families we serve. HUD Logo, SAMSHA logo, ADAMH Logo, City of Columbus Logo, ODADAS logo, Ohio Department of Development Logo Community Partners: Buckeye Ranch: Certified counselors provide training to Amethyst women in violence and crime prevention, physical health, and job readiness. Central Ohio Breathing Association: Provides tobacco prevention workshops. Coalition on Housing and Homelessness in Ohio (COHHIO): Through the Youth Empowerment Program, SummerQuest participants receive leadership training. Columbus City Schools: Since 2002, Columbus City Schools, through Project Connect, has provided transportation, breakfast, and lunch for all SummerQuest campers during June and July. Community Housing Network (CHN) and Jefferson Center for Learning and the Arts (JCLA): Amethyst, CHN, and JCLA have partnered to build 39 apartment units to house homeless women and children. Work is scheduled to begin late fall 2008. Impact Safety: Offers Violence Prevention Workshops for Amethyst clients. Planned Parenthood: Instructs Amethyst women in sexual health and safety. Seal of Ohio Girl Scouts: Provides Self-Esteem Workshops for Amethyst clients. Content test for Funders and Community |
