Research indicates that children raised in families where addiction is present are at higher risk for developing addictions of their own. So, while Amethyst provides many women-focused services, we also address the needs of their children through programs like SummerQuest.
SummerQuest is an intensive intervention day camp for children ages 6-14 who have mothers involved in Amethyst's long-term recovery program. Each year, Amethyst partners with local businesses, organizations, and private residents to help provide camp scholarships to eligible children.
When you choose to join Amethyst's SummerQuest Squad, you choose to help provide camp scholarships to more than 30 Amethyst children, giving them the opportunity to grow, expand, heal, and shine—all while enjoying a summer full of fun.
- Just $50 can send one child to camp for a day
- $250 can send one child to camp for a week
- $1000 can send one child to camp for a month
- $3000 can send one child to camp for the ENTIRE twelve weeks of camp
