Many families at Amethyst have experienced family disruption caused by the extended parent/child separation that can result

from addiction, mental illness, poverty, and criminal involvement.

At Amethyst, we believe in reunifying these families.

Amethyst recognizes the importance of family inclusive treatment and strives to provide supportive wraparound care for the children whose mothers are in our IOP programming.

Amethyst works to bring mothers and children together.

Our family-centered programs promote meaningful family dialogue, increase parent knowledge, and encourage parental involvement in the development and education of their children, giving all family members the support they need to reconnect with each other.

Children living at Amethyst receive drug and violence prevention education that coaches children on important resistance skills and ways to effectively communicate with peers and others. Amethyst kids also have an opportunity to attend SummerQuest, our therapeutic summer day camp.

At Amethyst, we believe in reunifying these families and provide these supports:

• Emergency Child Care

• Case Management

• Counseling

• Advocacy & Support

• Parenting Education

The policy of Amethyst, an Alvis Recovery Program, is to fully comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations in the area of non-discrimination in employment.
